The ZXR10 2900 series switches are designed with leading ASIC hardware forwarding technologies, where all forwarding functions are performed by hardware, thus ensuring wire-speed forwarding capability of the ports. The ASIC can perform L2 switching, and L2-L4 traffic filtering at wire speed.

The software system of the ZXR10 2900 series uses ESROS platform software as its core. This platform software provides a great variety of protocol stacks required for L2, and L3, and provides unified interfaces to its lower layers.

The drivers of the ASIC are used to connect the ESROS and the actual ASIC execution entities.

The NM and Operation & Maintenance module provide user management interface for the switch. This module allows users to manage and operate with the switch through a wide variety of means such as 232 interface, Telnet, SSH, SNMP, and WEB etc.

The software architecture adopts the bottom-up hierarchical design. By operation, the software architecture is divided into a service plane and a management plane. The management plane processes data configuration and notifies the current operation status. The configuration is basically completed under an interactive environment.

Introduction to planning software product

Overview

It is well known that the bearer network features small scale and simple network structure (such as chain, ring) in its initial development stage, and the planning of network topology and network services are completed manually. Increasing equipment complexity and network scale make it more and more complicated for network planning and design. Manual mode has low efficiency and is error-prone, especially under the situation that the emergence of intelligent network and large-capacity cross-connect equipment leads to much higher network complexity and unpredictability.

Compared with legacy network, the intelligent network introduces MESH structure, control domain, SLA, routing policy and SRLG technologies. Therefore, the development of intelligent optical network and large-capacity cross-connect equipment brings new challenges to network construction and maintenance:

Differing greatly from the static resource structure of legacy network, ASON network resources are scheduled and distributedly dynamically across the network, making it difficult to evaluate network reliability and security simply in manual mode.

MESH networking adopts multi-degree network architecture and results in escalating complexity in service planning, and the designer can hardly perform network planning and optimization only by manual operation.

As WDM network involves complicated computation of physical parameters (such as OSNR, DC and loss), manual operation is tedious and error-prone.

In conclusion, confronting network development and challenges mentioned above, manual network planning and manual network design are not viable, and manual network evaluation, optimization and failure emulation can no longer address the requirements. Planning software is emerged as a result.

Product function

ZXTOP 500 is the specialized network planning software developed by ZTE. On basis of core algorithm, it enables rapid and efficient planning of transmission network capacity, service and route. ZXTOP 500 supports transmission network planning based on SDH, WDM and OTN, supports diversified network topologies, as well as green field planning and incremental planning of network.

ZXTOP 500 has simplified, convenient and friendly user interface, with core functions including capacity planning, route planning and failure planning. Through flexible and rich condition settings, ZXTOP 500 can generate the network planning approach with the optimal route, cost and reliability in accordance with user network requirements. During network planning, ZXTOP 500 offers users with a variety of detailed reports, and allows network planning engineers to further adjust and optimize network based on these reports.

Network planning and design, network analysis and failure emulation of ZXTOP 500 are based on data provided by resource management, which include node, fiber, SRLG, protection group and region. In terms of data interaction, ZXTOP 500 supports import and export of NM data and enables output of varieties of reports. Its major functions are shown below:

 

ZXTOP 500 outputs service route and network configuration approach, performs network analysis and emulation, and evaluates the conformity of planning optimization results with customer requirements according to customers' service requirement matrix and network physical resources. Its planning flow chart is shown below. Input information contains service matrix (typically dependent on service requirement of customer project, including service type, service quantity and service class) and physical resources (typically dependent on the equipment requirement, site requirement and fiber resource situation of customer project, including node information, fiber information and equipment model); direct output information contains service route and network configuration.

The ZXR10 5900E series routing switches are designed with leading ASIC hardware forwarding technologies, where all forwarding functions are performed by hardware, thus ensuring wire-speed forwarding capability of the ports. The ASIC can perform L2 switching, IPv4 routing, IPv6 routing, and L2-L7 traffic filtering at wire speed.

The hardware system of ZXR10 5952E/5928E/5928E-FI consists of one main control board and some service cards. As per different functions these modules have, they can be classified into switching and control module, power supply module and interface module.

The software system of ZXR10 5900E series uses ZXROS modular large-scale routing platform software as its core. As a result of our long years' efforts in data products, this platform software also serves the ZXR10 series high-end routers and switches. It provides a great variety of protocol stacks required for L2, L3 and IPv6, and provides unified interfaces to its lower layers. The distributed operating system platform provides the system with operating system support, and provides all basic elements to be invoked by all software applications.

ZXONE 8000 Series Products

At present, the IP trend of telecom services and evolution of IP network pose enormous challenge to transport network. Meanwhile, viewed from the course of technological progress, domestic and overseas mainstream operators have more and higher requirements such as IP-based, intelligent, green and eco-friendly for WDM technology after point-to-point WDM and OTN.     ZXONE 8000 supports aggregate of low-rate services such as GE, FC-N and STM-1/4 to 10G/40G services. The Any-type universal service access board introduced can support concurrent access of 16 channels of different services at most to meet the requirement for unified transport of multiple services. ZXONE 8000 series products can effectively increase bandwidth utilization ratio and save wavelength resources.

    Large-capacity electrical layer cross-connection. ZXONE 8300 CX20/8300 CX30/8500 CX50 can support 0.8T/1.6T/3.2T large-capacity electrical cross-connection respectively and realize ODU0/1/2/3 multi-granule nonblocking electrical cross-connection function; they support service overhead and clock transparent transmission function and is applicable to network core nodes.
    Multi-degree optical layer cross-connection. ZXONE 8000 series products can support 2-10-degree optical layer dispatching and support 40/80/96×10G/40G cross-connect capacity in each degree.
    ODU0 granule cross-connection. ZTE is the only equipment manufacturer that totally supports ODU0 granule cross-connection in the industry. The introduction of ODU0 granule is an important technique to adapt to the all-IP trend of services; it incorporates GE service to OTN system, which improves GE service dispatching and monitoring capability.
    Support L2 layer aggregation. Integration of L2 switching function to WDM equipment can effectively achieve the goal of flat network and simplify network layers.

    Widespread use of WSON. By loading GMPLS-based WSON on ROADM/ODUk switching platform, dual-plane intelligence on optical and electrical layers can be achieved, which shortens service deployment time and provides multiple recovery paths for key services to improve service survivability and increase utilization rate of network resources.
    Fast provisioning of service. The optical layer supports 2-10-degree ROADM, realizing end-to-end automatic configuration; the electrical layer realizes wavelength/sub-wavelength (ODUk) end-to-end automatic configuration via T-level ODUk switching, which remarkably reduce the time required for service provisioning.

    Optical source technologies including out-band FEC, advanced FEC (AFEC), RZ and adaptive receiving together with various amplification modes such as RAMAN amplifier and high-power EDFA are adopted to increase the transmission distance of linear system.

    Diversified optical layer protection. Support optical channel sharing protection (OPCS), multiplex section shared ring protection (OPMS), multiplex section 1+1 protection, equipment-side OUT 1:N protection and optical line protection (OLP). Among them, OPCS is a patent developed by ZTE, which can effectively increase optical channel utilization rate and save wavelength resources.
    Electrical layer protection (ODUk protection). Support ODUk sub-network connection protection (ODUk SNCP), ODUk shared ring protection (EPCS) and ODUk 1:N protection.
    L2-based intelligent Ethernet ring protection (ESR) provides guarantee for uplink aggregate.
  • Flexible Service Monitoring Capability
    All service boards support OTN overhead and so agile monitoring of SM, PM and TCMi overhead can be realized. As the equipment supports TCM overhead, the monitoring on cross-ring cross-area services is more comprehensive.
    ECC/DCC supports OSPF protocol and realizes automatic NE discovery and automatic route configuration functions with good network expandability. It also simplifies network configuration.
    ZXONE 8000 series products support optical and electrical monitoring; the monitoring mode can be selected according to the networking. Optical monitoring adopts 100M transmission with rapid protocol transmission which can meet the management requirement of large networks and improve monitoring efficiency.

    The line side and client side are separated to increase board integration. The separation of client side and line side can aggregate various different client-side services to the same line-side board to share the bandwidth, which effectively increases bandwidth utilization rate; the boards on the line side and client side can be combined flexibly so that the spare parts can be reduced from M × N to M + N (M and N mean client-side boards and line-side boards, respectively; M, N>2), which effectively reduces network cost and equipment room space.

ZXR10 2900E series Easy-maintenance Secure Switch

ZXR10 2900E series are the new-generation Easy-maintenance Ethernet switches, which are designed to meet Ethernet multi-service bearing and various Ethernet access environments, either in IP metro networks or enterprise networks. Five product types are provided: 2910E-PS, 2918E, 2918E-PS, 2928E and 2952E.

Product Overview

ZXTOW RTT (Rooftop Telecom Tower) is installed on building to reduce the tower height and cost accordingly. It has flexible structure and installation to meet different requirements such as rooftop poles, rooftop guyed masts and rooftop lattice towers etc. Moreover, non-penetrating tower is especially designed for the sites without permission of any damage to ceiling.

At present, ZXTOW rooftop towers are widely used in the world.

Product Introduction

ZXTOW TSPS single-tube steel communication tower (referred as monopole), with the main body of circular or polygonal cross-section welded steel, is high structure constituted by pipes. Monopole has advantages of beautiful appearance, simple structure and small footprint. Through modification, it can be changed into disguised monopoles, sculptural monopoles, all of which have been widely used in urban streets, scenic spots and some other regions.
